WHO iS Sean?
Sean van der Wilt is a multifaceted singer, songwriter, dancer, and performer known for his high-energy shows and bold, genre-blending music. Born in Pennsylvania and raised on the East Coast, Sean began his career in the concrete jungles of New York City as a dancer before being discovered by music impresario Lou Pearlman, who encouraged him to pursue a solo career in music.
Over the years, Sean has built an international reputation, performing his music across America and Europe, opening for the Black Eyed Peas, US5 Germany, Miss USA Pagents and Headling LGBTQ + shows and tours. He prides himself on being an advocate for the community through his music and stage presence. Sean even sang in Chinese at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
His collaborations span some of the world’s biggest stars, including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Usher, Cher, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Miley Cyrus, His work extends to film and television as well, with credits in Burlesque, Step Up 3D, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, My Week With Marilyn, Bring It On: All or Nothing, and Popstar. He recently was featured on ABC's 2020 about his journey in the music industry and pioneering so many different aspects of entertainment.
As a choreographer, Sean has lent his creative vision to productions like American Horror Story, 9-1-1: Lone Star, and artists including Cher, Ke$ha, and Annie Bosko. His artistry combines music, dance, and visual storytelling, making every performance an immersive experience.
Beyond the stage, Sean is passionate about using his platform to inspire and uplift others. He advocates for at-risk youth and dreams of creating the Laugh Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and teens through creativity, self-expression, and humor.
